Our wine

Racetrack, our signature wine, is the realisation of a dream held by three generations of women since 1904. The local racetrack, thought of as inferior land because of its gravelly soils, was bequeathed to Elizabeth, who defied custom to become a farmer.

Slowly, but with great determination this seemingly harsh landscape made way for vineyards. Naturally, these vines had to struggle, which adds to the character of the wines from the Racetrack vineyards.

Agnes de Vos continued the family tradition and now a new generation of women, including award-winning winemaker Carla Pauw, bring their dedication and determination to this complex handmade wine.
